Coming March 26th: Hiring Veterans and Wounded Warriors

Leadership Maryland will present an informational seminar to local business leaders on the importance of hiring Veterans and wounded warriors. The briefing will take place at Patuxent High School in Lusby, Maryland starting at 9:30 a.m.

Download flyer for more information or contact Jack Smith.

 Honor their service. Hire veterans.

Proven leadership, teamwork and the ability to focus on the task at hand are traits that employers seek in new hires. They're also traits possessed by our nation's veterans and wounded warriors. Veterans and wounded warriors who are returning home from deployment, and those retiring after a career of service to our country. Veterans and wounded warriors who need jobs.

Please plan to attend this seminar that will highlight the unique skills, qualities, characteristics and training that veterans and wounded warriors can bring to the private sector workplace. You'll also hear from a panel of business owners and industry leaders who have hired veterans and wounded warriors.

Introducing The Business Alliance of Charles County

Message from the President/CEO, Ken Gould:

The Business Alliance of Charles County was created to offer its members and the community every opportunity available to enhance the quality of life in Charles County through leadership, education, advocacy and service. The Alliance offers monthly networking opportunities, legislative representation at the local, state and federal levels, educational seminars, interactive discussion groups and more.

The BACC is a membership organization led by its members, for its members. The Board of Directors and Staff remain accountable to the membership and the ongoing mission and goals of the organization will continue to be guided by member needs and input. “Success through Service” is not simply a catchy tagline, but a summation of the core of the mission to serve the needs of Alliance members and the surrounding communities.

Business Alliance membership alone will offer a number of benefits, but active participation in Alliance-sponsored events and sponsorship opportunities will enhance those benefits and the probability of success. Active volunteerism, the essence of the organization, increases the Alliance’s positive influence in the community and the return on individual investment. Work your Business Alliance membership and it will work for you.

We look forward to the opportunity to serve you and your business, and offer our commitment to your ongoing success.
